Carolyn S. (Setters) Stanberry, age 76, of Quincy, died on Monday, May 5, 2025 in her home. She was born on November 3, 1948 in Quincy, the daughter of John and Bernice (Bentley) Hill. She married Marty Stanberry on June 28, 1991. He survives. Carolyn was a CNA in the Quincy area for many years and later became a stay-at-home mom.

Carolyn loved crafting and decorating the yard for all the holidays. She also greatly enjoyed going to BINGO.

In addition to her husband, Marty, Carolyn is also survived by:
CHILDREN: Gary Stephenson of Quincy; Angella Stephenson (John) of Dongola, IL; Terry Stephenson of Quincy; Lisa Cook (Rob) of Mesa, AZ; Tiffany Vahle of Quincy, Joseph Stanberry of Hilo, HI; Jeff Kendrick (Rena) of Quincy and Jack Guthrie (Rochelle) of Hannibal, MO.

SIBLINGS: Joe Truitt, Elmer Truitt, Bill Winston, Sheila Pultz, Evie Ehlers and Donna Harland along with nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother James E. ‘Jay’ Sharp-Terpening.

Cremation rites will be accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
