Marion “Oscar” Edward Myers, Jr
Marion “Oscar” Edward Myers, Jr, age 69, of Camp Point, passed away at Blessing Hospital on March 2, 2025. Oscar was born on April 27, 1955 in Pittsfield, IL the son of Marion and Waneda (Crossman) Myers. Oscar went into the Air Force right out of High School. He served stateside as well as in Greenland. Oscar spent 25 years working at Titan Wheel and spent the last few years traveling to Florida and Alabama to visit his extended family.
Oscar fondly called his caretaker, Shelia, his angel. He enjoyed spending time with his very special buddies, Rick, Don, and Rum. Oscar’s best friend was his black Lab, Susie. Oscar enjoyed shooting pool and bowling. He was an avid mushroom hunter and enjoyed going boating and fishing on the Mississippi River. In his free time, Oscar would take golf cart rides as well as riding his motorcycle to rallies.
Oscar is survived by his CHILDREN: Jeb Myers of Quincy, Chelsie Myers of Quincy, Josh Hagen of Harden & Chalah Smith of Bowling Green, MO.
SIBLINGS: Barb (Roger) Buchanan of Bitely, Michigan, Sarah (Gary) Flynn of Hannibal MO, Bill (Pam) Myers of Katy, TX and Becky (Kenny) White of Pearl, IL. Very special friend Sheila Nokes-Derning of Camp Point.
NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Amanda Haskins, Rusty Buchanan, Joni (Jay) Coker, Stephanie (Cole) Kiker, Brittany Myers and Gabby Patterson and several cousins, Great Nieces and Nephews. Special nephews: Alex and Austin Nokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nephews and niece: Micheal and Michelle Buchanan and Greg White. His grandparents: William Myers, Raymond and Jessie Myers and Edward and Opal Crossman.

Rest easy Oscar. You will be greatly missed.
I worked with Oscar at Titan Wheel. I liked him a lot, easy to work with. Sad to hear of his passing.
