Fred M. Ohnemus
Fred M. Ohnemus, age 72, of Quincy, died on Friday, February 28, 2025 in his home. He was born on March 3, 1952 in Quincy the son of Raymond and Olive Lorane (Downs) Ohnemus.
He married Joyce S. Eaton on April 25, 1975. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2002.
Fred worked at Titan Wheel for many years. During the Vietnam Era, Fred served in the United States Navy with the 34th Squadron on the USS John F. Kennedy. He was of the Catholic Faith. Fred enjoyed Civil War History.
Fred is survived by:
SIBLINGS: Mary Powers (Sonny), Joe Ohnemus (Linda), Martha Ringenberg, Margie Kendrick, Rita Lepper (Charles) and Patrick Ohnemus (Martha).
A special friend Mary Frese.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In addition to his wife, Fred was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law: Melvin Ringenberg and David Kendrick.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

From Judith Barnes, Joyce’s sister. Fred will be missed by many. He was a loving husband to my sister while she was alive.
He visited with us and was always kind and thoughtful. He communicated with the nieces and nephews on our side of the family and we will all miss him. May the love of God give us peace.
