Deborah L. Austin
Deborah L. Austin, age 68, of Quincy, died on Monday, February 24, 2025 in her home. She was born on August 15, 1956 in Quincy, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Howell) Gilker.
She spent her life taking care of her home and children. She nurtured and supported her children with unwavering love. Deborah was immensely proud of her grandchildren and her love and pride in their accomplishments were evident to all who knew her. She cherished every moment spent with her family. She loved to go shopping and soak up the sun. She also enjoyed bowling at Harrison Lanes. Deborah was an amazing and incredibly strong woman. She had such a big heart and would do anything for anyone. Deborah will be so deeply missed by her friends and family. May her spirit live on in the memories of those who loved her.
Deborah is survived by:
CHILDREN: Michael Austin, Misty Williams (Trevor), Dale Austin and Amber Forrest (Cory) all of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Devin Austin, Myla and Mason Williams; Logan Harrison, Dillon Harrison, Cajen Austin and Taylor Brown; Marissa Williams, Madison Money and Autumn Forrest.
2 Great-Grandchildren
SIBLINGS: Earl Gilker (Pam), Shirley Clark (Steve) and Bruce Gilker (Joann)
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and 2 children, Missy and Dana in infancy.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Deborah’s life will take place at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
