Grover C. Smith, age 68, of Quincy, died on Sunday, February 16, 2025 in his home. He was born on July 7, 1956 in Quincy, IL, the son of Ashford and Willa (Bentley) Smith. He married Deborah Anderson on August 18, 1989. She survives.

Grover worked as a medical clerk in the Medical Records Department at Los Gatos Hospital in California. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Grover loved music in his later years, and often listened to the Beatles. In his younger years he also enjoyed fishing.

CHILDREN: Elizabeth Smith of California and Mark Anthony Smith of Quincy,
STEP-CHILDREN: Lisa Jane (Santo) Eismann and Heidi Graves (Nate).
5 STEP GRANDCHILDREN, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Grover was preceded in death by his parents, and SIBLINGS: John Smith, George Smith and Martha Spruce.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned at this time. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
